Netflix lays off maturity of staff at addict point just months after it launched

Netflix lays off majority of staff at fan site just months after it launched

In another sign that effects are far from rosy at Netflix, the streaming mammoth has laid off a number of editorial staffers and contractors at its Tudum addict point that launched just over four months agone. The company insists the design is not going to be shuttered, but this appears to be another belt- tensing exercise for Netflix after it lost subscribers for the first time in a decade.

Tudum, named after the first global addict event in September, arrived in early December as a Netflix companion point. It features exclusive content related to the streaming service, similar as if a series has been renewed (it presumably hasn't), when it's coming out, trivia about shows, and a lot further.

But Deadline reports that as part of a restructuring of Netflix's marketing department, 25 positions at the company have been excluded, utmost of which came from Tudum — ten members of staff were reportedly laid off from the point.

The move might look as if Netflix is getting ready to close down Tudum, but a prophet said this is not the case."Our addict website Tudum is an important precedence for the company,"they verified.

Former Vice culture pen Josh Terry twittered about the layoffs, noting that he and his platoon had been let go from Tudum.

The news comes just as Netflix's daily results revealed it had lost subscribers since the morning of the time, which it blames on word players, increased competition, and its pullout from the Russian request. But a recent report shows that US consumers may have reached peak subscription American homes have stopped adding to their canon of streaming subscriptions after nearly two times of constant growth.
